Remote purchase and transport handover.

If you cannot meet the seller in person, separate purchase verification from transport proof. A carrier can collect and document handover, but cannot become escrow or ownership verifier.

Remote purchase and transport handover.
Remote handover is safer when payment, pickup proof and delivery inspection are staged clearly.

What a carrier can and cannot verify

Quick answer: a carrier can photograph pickup, item condition, loading and delivery. A carrier cannot prove legal ownership, authenticate goods, inspect hidden defects, verify seller identity or guarantee that payment is safe. Complete seller and document checks before the pickup request.

Pickup proof checklist

  • Seller name and pickup contact confirmed in writing.
  • Item photos match the listing and include plate, serial number or unique marks.
  • Visible condition photos from all sides before loading.
  • Photo of item at pickup location before it is moved.
  • Loading photo showing the item on the carrier vehicle.
  • Delivery inspection photo set before accepting final handover.

If payment is staged, write the stages in plain language before pickup. SendMoto does not hold funds, arbitrate seller disputes or guarantee recovery if a seller disappears.

Remote handover FAQ

Can the carrier inspect the item for me?

The carrier can document visible condition and pickup details, but cannot perform legal, mechanical or authenticity checks for the buyer.

Should I pay before pickup?

Avoid full payment before seller, item and document checks are complete. If you use staged payment, keep the agreement written and tied to proof steps.

What proof should I ask for?

Ask for seller contact, item identifier, condition photos, pickup location proof, loading photo, delivery photo and all chat/payment records in one thread.
